Atkins shantyboats and houseboats

When I was a kid my dad had many Atkins design books lying around, Several of the designs were of shantyboat/houseboat origin. I thought it would be fun to revisit these classics. These plans could still be used today to create a simple living environment on the bay, lake or river. Enjoy

  3. well Joe, here in Holland and in Amsterdam (Marihuana is legalised) you are allowed to live in a houseboat if you have a postadress and a taxadress.
I guess there are 100000s of people in USA, which could live free and with little money after building there shantyboat

  4. I actually lived one winter in a oak wooden 25ft fisherman, without a cabin.
To survive you need a place to sit normal and at least 1 square meter to stand.
    Also a good stove.
5 years ago I spend $ 200 a month for food and candles.
